Help
SORT is comprised of sorting and matching games. In matching games, you are matching one item to another. Sorting games come in two flavors: list or tile. List is, well, just a list while tile games have a character, number or image on a square tile. In either case, you sort items into a particular order.
GAME PLAY
- Select a category.
- Choose a game.
- To randomly select games, shake your device on the main screen. Shaking on a sub-menu game will pick a game from within that sub-group.
- Select a playing level: Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced.
- Select the number of players.
- Tap Play Game.
- An alert pops-up containing the name of the game and the object of the game.
- Tap Start to begin.
- Tap and drag an item to move it.
- For list games, sort from top to bottom. For tile games, sort from left to right and top to bottom.
- When all the items are sorted or matched, the game is complete.
LEVEL DESCRIPTIONS
Beginner
- The correct ordering is shown prior to starting the game.
- Where applicable, annotations are added in the bottom right corner of tile games to show the correct ordering.
- Items in the correct position glow white around their border.
- The Hint icon (?) at the top right of the screen displays the answers while pressed. A total of 10 seconds of hint time is provided. When the hint time is used up, the Hint icon (?) disappears.
Intermediate
- The text in list games is scrambled up until two seconds before the game starts.
- When pressed, the Hint icon (?) shows items in the correct position by displaying a white glow around their borders. A total of 5 seconds of hint time is provided. When the hint time is used up, the Hint icon (?) disappears.
Advanced
- The text in list games is scrambled up until one second before the game starts.
- There is not a hint mode.
MULTIPLAYER MODE
- Select either mode and then select the amount of players.
- Tap Play Game
- While in multiplayer mode the same puzzle and scrambled state is displayed to every player, so no advantage is given to another player.
- Tap Start to begin.
- Solve the puzzle your time is displayed in the title bar.
- Tap Next Player and hand the device to another player.
- When the next player starts his game the a countdown to the fastest time is displayed below the title bar.
